What we believe
- The Bible is the word of God
We believe everything written in the Bible. The Bible is fully inspired by God and is the guide of our lives and the foundation of Faith Generation. Everything we do and undertake is fully founded on the word of God.
Timothy 3:16
- God as the Trinity
We believe in one God. He has revealed Himself as the eternal, self-existent “I AM”, the Creator of the universe and the Redeemer of mankind; and as the Trinity, manifesting Himself in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4 | Matthew 28:19 | John 5:7
- Divine health and prosperity in all respects
We believe that the redemptive work of Jesus Christ has provided for:
- Healing (for our physical body)
Matthew 8:16, 17 | Isaiah 53:4 | 1 Peter 2:24
- Liberation
Luke 4:19 - Well-being, prosperity and salvation (all summarized in the Greek word soteria (sozo), which is called).
Romans 10:13
- Healing (for our physical body)
- Heaven and Hell
We believe in heaven and in hell. Eternal life or 'heaven' is everlasting life for believers (John 5:24 and 3:16) and eternal punishment for unbelievers and in the enemy: Satan and eternal judgment for him and his angels.
Matthew 25:41 | Mark 9:43-48 | Revelation 20:10-15
- The Lord Jesus is coming back soon
We believe that the Lord Jesus will return physically. We call this the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:16, 17
- The Lord Jesus paid the full price on the cross
We believe that the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus has provided for the forgiveness of our sins, but has also provided for healing, deliverance, and prosperity. The redemptive work of the Lord Jesus has provided for us in every respect. Through His work on the cross, we can live in blessing instead of under the curse.
- Matthew 8:16, 17, Isaiah 53:4, 1 Peter 2:24 (healing)
- Luke 4:19 (deliverance)
- Romans 1:16 (salvation)
- Galatians 3:13 (blessing instead of the curse)
- The church
We believe in the church. Every believer ought to be part of a local church. We believe in the universal church worldwide and in the local church.
Hebrews 10:25
- The gifts of the spirit
We believe in the working of the gifts of the Spirit in the church as they were visible in the early church, in the book of Acts. Everyone receives gifts as the Holy Spirit Himself gives.
1 Corinthians 12
- Rebirth
We believe that being born again consists of three steps (Acts 2:38)
-
- Conversion
- Water baptism
- Received from the Holy Spirit
These steps should follow one another in direct succession. -
- The baptism in the Spirit
We believe in the baptism with the Holy Spirit. This follows immediately after salvation. The proof of the baptism in the Spirit is speaking in tongues, as the Holy Spirit inspires.
Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17 and 10:44-46; Galatians 3:14-15.
This experience is distinct from, and a consequence of, rebirth.Acts 8:12-17; 10:44, 48; 19:1-6
